What is cryptocurrency trading?

This is an exchange of digital assets in order to profit from a profitable transaction. You yourself know what every seller wants — to buy cheaper and sell more expensive. At the same time, the buyer and seller exchange assets only when both are satisfied with the price of their exchange.

There are two directions in trading — long (long position with the expectation of a rise in the rate) and short (short position with the expectation of a fall in the rate). Let's briefly consider them on the example of a Bitcoin-dollar trading pair. If a trader wants to make a successful long trade, he buys BTC and waits for the coin to rise in price in order to sell it later. The difference between the purchase price and the sale price minus the exchange commission is equal to profit.

In this case, the trader will make a profit in cryptocurrency, so he will have more bitcoins.

Short and long can be opened with a shoulder — then it will already be margin trading.

Transactions may also differ in opening time:

scalping: quick trades for a period of several seconds to several minutes;

day trading: all positions are opened and closed within one day;

swing trading: positions for several days, most often up to one week;

positional trading: long trades in which a trader can hold cryptocurrency for several weeks or more.
